An ovarian cyst refers to a medical condition marked by the accumulation of fluids enclosed by a thin wall in the ovary. An ovarian follicle larger than 2 centimeters is called an ovarian cyst. Such a cyst could be small in size as a pea, or could be as large as an orange. While most of these cysts are harmless in nature, in some cases, they may grow into cancerous proportions and require medical attention.
