A very common event that happens during a woman’s monthly menstrual cycle is when an ovarian cyst occurs. An ovarian cyst will generally only occur if the woman is still within her child bearing years. Generally, ovarian cysts will grow and then “die” without any issues. If signs of an ovarian cyst do occur, the symptoms may be similar to another medical condition and are then misread. In addition, they are usually considered benign and therefore harmless.
