Many women are in need of hormone replacement therapy for a variety of reasons. However, they can present users with many risks such as developing blood clots, strokes, heart disease and breast cancer. This has caused doctors and patients to stop taking this treatment. This is was in spite of these risks being relatively low. In other words there was not a very high incidence of this happening. When treatment was stopped, the symptoms of menopause returned like never before. This has made patients look to other alternatives such as bioidentical hormones.
